NOTHING OF JIN LIQUID HAS TO BE WASTED …

Jin liquid can be used on any type of wood to bleach it and protect it from pests, molds, fungi and xylophagous insectsFor its characteristics, Jin Liquid (also called Lime Sulphur, because it is a particular mixture of lime and sulphur) finds another interesting usage on all types of wooden products, especially external furniture, pallets or wood ships, to preserve them from rot due to the contact with water or rain. It can be used successfully also on wooden fences as well.

When wood has dried, it has to be painted with Jin liquid using a paintbrush. Then, when jin has dried, you should paint it with a transparent or neutral paint, as you prefer.

Bonsai are not the only plants that can benefit from bleaching and protective treatmentThis liquid naturally smells of rotten eggs, as it contains sulphur, and its color is very persistent, so we suggest to use protective gloves, glasses and working clothes and to carry out all these operations outdoors.

Another use of Jin liquid, probably even more interesting, is due to its biological characteristics - it is a natural, inorganic product made by simple raw materials, naturally present in nature.

It degrades naturally in sulphur and calcium. A welcome fact is that it is not dangerous for useful insects as bees and other pollinator and predator ones.
It is a long used product that it is known to be useful for all kind of plants, Bonsai included. In Australia, for example, diluted 1 to 10 in water, it is used on roses after pruning. In the U.S.A and in other countries of the world it is also used also on fruit trees, as on apple trees, apricots, peaches, olives and many other. It also preserves very well green hedges.



The Jin liquid should be passed over the clean wooden surface and can be spread over the paint once it has dried It is an organic product that has a very limited environmental impact, because its components are also present in nature 20191027_170343

The most suitable use is to make monthly preventive treatments, diluited 1 to 30, beginning from late Autumn, paying attention to temperatures which must not be below 0°C (and not above 25/30°C). The best would be making treatments until the Spring season repeating them again from late Autumn.

After spraying jin liquid mixed with water, a white patina may persist on the leaves. This is not dangerous but it is only product continuing to preserve the plant and it will be washed away by rain.

It is preferable to carry out the treatments with the liquid outside and to use the due precautionsThe correct way to use jin liquid safely is to use clothes, gloves and glasses protection (also a mask for major safety). Another suggestion is to wash pumps and washing flasks with plenty of running water after use. This is necessary to avoid scales.
